Welcome to Narangba State School
Our school will turn 100years in 2010 and has served the local community with pride and integrity throughout this time. It is our aim to continue to provide a first class service to the families of the Narangba District.
At Narangba State School it is our aim that each and every student achieves to his/her potential. We aim to provide a curriculum which recognises and caters for the diversity of student abilities, interests and needs. Aided by quality teaching, extensive resources and sound administrative practices we promote student and staff excellence and the development of lifelong learning within a supportive environment.
To achieve this, our school community is committed to the values of:
Belonging: where every member of our school community has the opportunity and support to succeed in a fair and equitable community.
Responsibility: where others can depend on us and where we are accountable for what we do and accept the consequences for our actions.
Effort: trying our best and do not give up or be distracted. It involves optimism, self control, persistence and achievement.
Cooperation: working together, solving problems and following school and society’s rules. We are tolerant, helpful and think of others.
Fairness: recognising the rights of others and treating them with dignity.
Caring: showing interest in and respect and concern for others
Respect: caring for the rights of others in our community and treating one another with courtesy and kindness
Narangba State School, situated in the Sunshine Coast South District of Education Queensland, is a Band 9 school. Our school serves Narangba and District and also draws children from further afield. Enrolments have grown over the past few years and trends indicate that a school population of approximately 500 is an average number. Prep numbers are approximately 75. The school was established in 1910 and has grown in partnership with the community.
