My name is Angela Bell and I am proud to be the Principal of Narangba State School. I have been the Principal and Deputy Principal at a number of State Schools throughout Queensland over the past 30 Years.

I am passionate about the quality of public education in Queensland and the rich diversity that our education system embraces.

Why choose our school?

Narangba State School is an Independent Public School (IPS). Queensland independent public schools have greater flexibility to enable innovation that improves performance through:

  • managing their planning and review processes
  • determining staffing options
  • determining the departmental policies and procedures that best suit their individual communities

All independent public schools remain part of the strong state system. They have a responsibility to work within the system to support growth, and share learnings and practices to build collective capacity.

Narangba State School provides students with a rich and diverse education which offers a balance of academic, cultural and sporting opportunities. As a relatively small school, we pride ourselves on providing individual support to all students. We work in partnership with parents and students to support students in achieving their full potential.

Our school is nestled within a supportive community with shared values and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility towards its members.

In a rapidly changing world where students have minute to minute access to global information, this community provides a safe and nurturing environment for healthy, growing children.

Narangba State School students are immersed in a technology-rich environment where information and communication technology (ICT) is a focal medium through which teaching is presented and learning is accessed. Through this technology students are engaged in literacy and numeracy learning providing the strongest foundations for future intellectual growth and development.

Parents

Parental involvement is encouraged and valued in the school. Many parents and caregivers attend our weekly parades to see their children receive achievement awards and parents are involved in classrooms as parent helpers.

In excess of 95% of parents participate in parent-teacher interviews and all parents are welcome and many attend our special events such as Under 8s day, Anzac ceremony, grandparents' day, book week parade and sports days.

We look forward to nurturing partnerships with you and your children as we endeavour to grow together and provide a strong educational foundation for their continued growth and development.
