Arrival at school
Classes at Narangba State School begin at 8:55 am. It is suggested that students arrive in time to get their materials ready for the school day. For this reason a bell rings at 8:50 am.
When students arrive at school, they must report to one of the following and remain there until the 8:50 am bell.
Tuckshop area – years 3 to 6 students
B block under cover area (near year 1) – years 1 and 2 students
Prep students go to their class area
SEP is also open for students
Playgrounds and play equipment are not to be used before 8:50 am, even with parental supervision.
There is limited supervision before school so it is recommended that students arrive as close to the 8:50 am bell as possible.
Jabiru Outside school hours care is provided from 6:00 am.
Students arriving late to school, come to the school office with an adult who signs them in, giving the reason for the late arrival. A late pass will be issued and for safety reasons, the adult dropping students off is to walk them to class.
The office is open from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm.
Parades are held every Monday from 2:15 pm for whole school providing key messages, weekly school focus, class and other awards. All parades are held in the school hall.
